MEETING OF THE MANAGEMENT OF SOMON AIR WITH THE MISSION OF THE WORLD BANK

The management of Somon Air accepted the mission team of the World Bank to assess Infrastructure Governance (InfraGov) comprised of Ms. Elena Timusheva, Public Private Partnership Specialist, Ms. Tessa Cullen, Governance Expert, Ms. Anna Bilous, Governance Expert and Ms. Nasiba Saidova, Program Assistant. The purpose of the InfraGov Assessment is to identify institutional, regulatory and capacity obstacles to enhancing the provision of infrastructure related services. The assessment will, therefore, develop actionable recommendations on how enhance the impact of infrastructure spending. This assessment will subsequently be shared and discussed with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The assessment is expected to be completed in May 2023. During the meeting, issues of the business environment in Tajikistan, issues of investment and public procurement in Tajikistan from a business perspective.
