SOMON AIR MANAGEMENT MET WITH THE MAYOR OF KASHGAR CITY

The meeting of the management of Somon Air with a delegation from the city of Kashgar, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, headed by the Mayor of the Kashgar City People's Government Yasenjan Yakhep, took place on April 13 at the airline's office in Dushanbe. Issues of possible cooperation in the field of air transportation were discussed at the meeting. In particular, issues of the possibility of opening a flight on the route Dushanbe - Kashgar - Dushanbe were discussed.

Abdulkosim Valiev, the CEO of Somon Air noted: “We consider the city of Kashgar as one of the directions of the People's Republic of China, where we could open flights in the medium term. This will certainly bring our countries even closer. We intend to start studying the issues of opening the flight.”

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a number of issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Somon Air currently operates regular flights between Tajikistan and Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The airline’s fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft.
