SOMON AIR AND SHANGHAI HAIZHU ENGINEERING & DESIGN GROUP SIGN MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

Last week in Dushanbe, the management of Somon Air held a meeting with representatives of Shanghai Haizhu Engineering & Design Group Co., Ltd. (HIZ) - one of China’s leading companies in the field of aviation infrastructure design and construction, ranked among the top 10 airport builders in China.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the development of airport infrastructure in the Republic of Tajikistan. Special attention was given to the design and construction of a technical hangar for aircraft maintenance.

As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, providing for the development of a feasibility study (FS) for the hangar project.

Founded in 2001, HIZ has extensive experience in architectural design and the construction of large-scale aviation infrastructure projects. Cooperation with HIZ opens new opportunities for modernizing Tajikistan’s technical aviation infrastructure and enhancing the country’s aircraft maintenance capabilities.
