THE FIRST WOMAN-PILOT OF INDEPENDENT TAJIKISTAN STARTED FLIGHTS
Today the first independent flight of the only female pilot of Somon Air, Tatyana Afenteva, took place. Tatyana successfully completed the flight as a co-pilot on a regular flight on the Dushanbe-Tashkent-Dushanbe route. The flight was led by the captain Shukhrat Rakhimov, who gave a good assessment to the work of T. Afenteva.
Tatyana Afenteva started her career as a flight attendant in 2011. In 2020, she became a part of Somon Air as a co-pilot. Until today, Tatyana Afenteva has performed trainee flights and today - June 18, 2021, she made her first independent flight.
Tatyana has come a long and hard way, studying the basics of the pilot's profession at the Sasov Flight School of Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation, has successfully passed all exams and final practical flight checks. Today she is a qualified pilot flying international Boeing 737 / NG aircraft.
“I didn't feel much excitement on the occasion of the first independent flight,” Tatyana Afenteva shared her emotions. - The flight went well, like all my internship flights. But it is very pleasant to realize that my first independent flight took place in the year when our beloved republic celebrates the 30th anniversary of its independence. I am glad that I have conquered the next peak, it's time to move on. Now the most important task is to strengthen my professionalism and contribute to the safety of flights, for which the Tajik civil aviation has always been famous”.
