Passengers with special needs

Attention! Ticket issuance for passengers of special categories is possible only at the head office of the company and at sales offices of authorized agents (not online!), where the ticket issuing agent will specify all necessary details and make an inquiry about the possibility of such a flight. Please note that in some cases the airline has the right to refuse carriage to a passenger of a special category. Please read the conditions of carriage and requirements for special categories of passengers.

Special categories of passengers include:

- Severely ill passengers and patients on stretchers whose transportation requires special conditions;

- Passengers who are visually or hearing impaired;

- Passengers whose ability to move while using air transportation is limited (passengers with limited mobility, disabled persons in wheelchairs);

The flight of a passenger of a special category must be agreed with the airline at least 48 hours prior to departure. Be sure to inform the ticket sales manager about the special status of the passenger when booking!

Severely ill passengers

In order to ensure aviation safety, the airline does not accept for transportation passengers who require oxygen for medical purposes. The airline also does not accept seriously ill and stretcher-bound passengers for transportation due to the absence of technical and medical conditions necessary for their transportation on aircraft.

The Carrier may refuse transportation or its continuation to a person whose transportation due to his/her state of health (based on established facts of medical examination, etc.) may pose a threat to his/her life, safety of other passengers, aircraft or crew.

A categorical contraindication to flight is a myocardial infarction or heart surgery in the previous two weeks, unstable angina pectoris (thoracic toad), uncontrolled cardiac arrhythmias (ventricular or supraventricular).

Refrain from flying in cases of absolute insulin insufficiency, when the content of insulin in the patients’ blood is sharply reduced, as such patients need constant exogenous administration of insulin.

Passengers with sight/hearing impairment

Passengers who are visually or hearing impairments may travel accompanied by other persons or a guide dog, or under the supervision of airline staff (for this purpose, the passenger must submit a written application in advance).

When carrying a visually impaired passenger accompanied by a guide dog, the dog is carried free of charge in the economy class cabin, provided it has a certificate of special training for such a dog. The dog must have a collar, muzzle and be tied to the seat at the feet of the passenger it accompanies.

Passengers with simultaneous hearing and visual impairment may only fly when accompanied by a passenger assisting them on the flight.

Passengers with reduced mobility

Passengers in a wheelchair who are unable to move independently on board of the aircraft are carried with accompanying persons who provide care for them in flight or under the Carrier's supervision after the passenger has made a written application for transportation under the Carrier's supervision.

We recommend that you arrive at the airport early enough to check-in for your flight without rushing. Prepare for the flight in advance, taking into account that it may be difficult or impossible to move around on board the airplane. Ensure that your hand luggage contains all the items you will need for the flight.

Crutches, canes and walkers necessary for mobility can be transported in the cabin. Your wheelchair is transported in the baggage compartment of the airplane. After arrival, your wheelchair will be returned either immediately after leaving the airplane or at the baggage claim area. In the latter case, you will be transported to the baggage claim area in a wheelchair provided by the airport. Depending on the destination, there may be a charge for this service

For patients and passengers with reduced mobility, medical preparations, folding chair (wheelchair), crutches are carried free of charge and are not included in the free baggage allowance.

Before traveling, be sure to consult your doctor about possible contraindications, get his recommendations regarding the upcoming trip.
